ProcessMagnet vs. classic process mining
Both approaches want to know how a process really runs — they just come at it from different sides. Process mining evaluates event logs, usually from one leading system. ProcessMagnet reads the systems people work in, plus the documents that define how work is supposed to happen.

What ProcessMagnet does differently

When the other side is the better choice

No. Process mining measures what happens inside one system. ProcessMagnet pulls the flow together from all systems — email, ticket and call included — and also reads what contracts, SOPs and standards require. Not an event log, but lived reality.
Do we need clean event logs for this?
No. What matters is whether a system can be connected through an interface. ProcessMagnet does not need a logged process instance identifier.
Can we use both in parallel?
